For the interdisciplinary improvisation course we were tasked with keeping a journal. This class drew upon exercises from the disciplines of musical improvisation, comedic improvisation, theatre, visual mapping, and clown in order to provide learners with the opportunity to practice many core competencies identified by the MDM program.
Throughout the semester we were tasked with a bunch of different journalling tasks such as personal reflection, sketching, project reflection, and visual mapping. Personally I found that I really enjoy visual mapping and use it still today to help map out a project or even an event.
Other reflections include; persona map of ourselves, day in the life, drawing our dream house, leading vs. being lead reflection, storyboarding, and commenting on feedback.
